This oil painting workshop is for beginners through professional artists that would like to "brush up on the basics".  We will discuss the most important asset of representational fine art painting, how to see and translate what you are seeing to the canvas.  We will be painting still life from set ups in the studio.  We will discuss lighting, design and composition, value, drawing skills, edges and color.  Come prepared to work hard but to also be flexible and have fun.  We will be working "alla prima", painting in the moment.  Be prepared to take home at least 2 finished pieces.  Please limit your canvas size to no more than 12x16.  Please call or email Cathy for more information, exact location, lodging information, times of workshop and a supply list.  Please bring with you clean brushes and palette.
